i was early for yesterday’s ceremony at clark where the president was to break ground for a new medical facility. i was told to choose which part of the program to cover and therefore, where to stay. i picked my spot and started to wait. and wait. and wait.
after an hour, the emcee told everyone that the president would be arriving soon and what would happen as he came in. more waiting followed. it was wise not to leave our spots nor be distracted lest you find your place taken away from you.
soon enough, he came, his entrance announced solemnly, and things started to happen as was said. picking the right spot and waiting patiently paid off. i got my shots.
Lord, i know You’re coming soon and i have to be ready and waiting. but most times i just leave my spot and do my own thing. help me be faithful and watchful so that in the end, you’ll find me where i should be – doing your work while patiently waiting for You.
